Dental Technology

We use dental technology in our practice to help improve diagnosis and treatment to provide excellent oral health outcomes for our patients.

CBCT Scanner

Your dentist will use a CBCT scanner when they need to assess your underlying bone structure, nerve pathways, and surrounding soft tissues. During the scanning process, the imaging machine rotates around your head, capturing hundreds of images in less than a minute. These images can be viewed immediately and are highly accurate, allowing us to provide diagnosis and treatment.

CEREC

CEREC scanners are used to take digital impressions of the mouth. These impressions can be used to create dental restorations such as dental crowns and veneers and also used to take scans to create aligners for clear aligner therapy.

Intraoral Camera

An intraoral camera is used by dentists to examine the hard-to-reach areas of the mouth. The camera replaces handheld mirrors and conventional microscopes to provide more detailed images of the gums and teeth. This allows for a more accurate assessment of the oral cavity, ensuring a well-informed treatment plan.

iTero Scanner

The iTero scanner is a type of intraoral scanner that creates digital impressions of the oral cavity. These scanners offer more detailed images than traditional 2D X-ray technology and are also more comfortable for the patient.

Dental Lasers

Dental lasers are commonly used for tooth preparations and dental fillings. They replace traditional drills and are a highly accurate tool that helps improve treatment outcomes for patients. Dental lasers offer the benefit of reduced pain, a faster healing period, and less damage to the surrounding tissues compared to traditional drills.
